In September of 2006
Butler Bros signed a contract to become the integrated supplier at New Hampshire Ball Bearing (NHBB) of
Peterborough,
NH. This process
involved planting a Butler employee in their
facility stock room to manage and procure the inventory of consumable production
tooling and items at this facility.
In January of 2007
NHBB assigned us with some of the highest ratings on our quality of service.
This second year into the program we have received even higher marks. See chart
below for the actual scores assigned to Butler Bros. in January
2008.
Butler Bros.
is proud to have one of the most diverse Customer bases in the industry.
Our long term success depends on us solving our Customer’s problems and
critical constraints making them more efficient on a daily basis. What
follows is a project we worked on closely with the Maine Lobster
Promotional Council.
BACKGROUND
In
September of 2006, Butler Bros was approached by the Maine Lobster Promotion
Council to assist them in finding a more effective way to “brand” the ever
popular Maine Lobster. Recognized world wide as the best tasting
lobster in the world, the Maine Lobster needed something to
differentiate it from lobsters caught and sold from other New England states
and Canada.
THE SOLUTION
We
assisted the council in their quest to “brand”Maine Lobster and keep
other imposter lobsters from being served as the Maine brand
by providing them with two identifying markers. The first was to imprint the
traditional lobster band that is used to bind the claws with a CERTIFIED
MAINE LOBSTER stamp. The second was to take the Maine Lobster logo and make
a more obvious and colorful tag that will fit on the knuckle. (The images
below show both sides of the tag).
The tagging
program has effectively moved forward and been a great success in finally
branding the World’s Finest Lobsters. In December we
received the following letter from the Executive Director of the Maine
Lobster Promotion Council regarding her experience with Butler Bros. can be
