Butler Bros. is proud to have one of the most diverse Customer bases in the industry.  Our long term success depends on us solving our Customer’s problems and critical constraints making them more efficient on a daily basis.  What follows is a project we worked on closely with the Maine Lobster Promotional Council.

BACKGROUND
In September of 2006, Butler Bros was approached by the Maine Lobster Promotion Council to assist them in finding a more effective way to “brand” the ever popular Maine Lobster. Recognized world wide as the best tasting lobster in the world, the Maine Lobster needed something to differentiate it from lobsters caught and sold from other New England states and Canada.

THE SOLUTION
We assisted the council in their quest to “brand” Maine Lobster and keep other imposter lobsters from being served as the Maine brand by providing them with two identifying markers. The first was to imprint the traditional lobster band that is used to bind the claws with a CERTIFIED MAINE LOBSTER stamp. The second was to take the Maine Lobster logo and make a more obvious and colorful tag that will fit on the knuckle. (The images below show both sides of the tag).

The tagging program has effectively moved forward and been a great success in finally branding the World’s Finest Lobsters. In December we received the following letter from the Executive Director of the Maine Lobster Promotion Council regarding her experience with Butler Bros. can be read below:
